I was born in New Mexico in 1970 (I know I am dating myself) and lived there the majority of my youth until I went to college in Minnesota at Macalester College in 1988. I miss the mountains (mountains make for good skiing) in New Mexico, but I have come to love the parks, forests, and lakes in Minnesota. In August 2002, we moved to Eagan, and we are getting to know the parks and recreational areas here.

I'm currently looking forward to the day when our next child arrives, so that I can meet him/her, and also so that I can stop being pregnant! I'm also looking forward to spending the summer of 2003 on maternity leave with the new baby. When Nicholas was born, we enjoyed 6 months of my maternity leave together, often going for walks with Kathy and Mira or Kate and Callahan. And by an amazing coincidence, our friends the Berthiaumes, whom we met in our birth and parenting class in January 2001, are expecting their second child soon as well. I'm sure Julie and I will be spending many summer days taking our new babies out for walks.

I still enjoy reading and curling up with a good book and my animals when I get a chance. And I've recently started a weekly baking club with a group of other 2001-era moms.
